Dad passed away May 3, 2008, surrounded by his family. We remember him as a father, husband, mentor and anchor of the family for the 57 years of his marriage to our mother, Bette MacEvoy Sparks.

I want to thank all the friends and colleagues who have said so many nice things about Dad, and who have kept our family in their thoughts and prayers.

There are many tributes to Dad's accomplishments posted on the internet, a creation made possible in part by what he did, but for which he would, typically, not want to take credit for.

A Memorial Service will be held in Albuquerque, NM on May 28.
